Clive E.. Etchison, 79, of Rt. 6 died at 4:50 a.m. today at Culver Hospital. Mr. Etchison had been a farmer, living most of his life in Montgomery County. He was a member of Young’s Chapel Christian Church. He was graduated from Lebanon High School and attended Wabash College and Purdue University. Born March 14, 1901, at Colfax, he was a son of Edward and Emma Chism Etchison. He was married in 1923 at Lebanon to Myrtle Miller, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Clive Jr. of Indianapolis and Dean of Senatobia, Miss.; a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Joyce) Shaw of Aniston, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Williams and Mrs. Edgar (Myrtle) Essex, both of Lebanon, and Mrs. Juanita Day of Westfield; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Malcolm Lee and John Theron, and a brother, Russell. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Batts officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. smc
